Rule Changes New Business The Mining Safety Board will hold a Public Meeting and Hearing at: 10:00 A.M. During the meeting, the Mining Safety Board will conduct a public hearing on proposed rules for mining safety proposed by the Mining Safety Board. The Board will consider comment regarding rules for the penalty structure for failure to report an accident. Click below for copies of the new rule proposals. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Mining Safety Board may deliberate and vote on the proposed rule changes. Old BusinessOn August 14, 2008 The New Mexico Mining Safety Board held a public meeting and hearing to enact amendments to 19.6.2 NMAC and 19.6.4 NMAC. The Board considered comment regarding rules for the penalty structure for failure to report an accident and rules regarding coal mine officials’ certification. Both rules were amended. On June 4, 2008 The New Mexico Mining Safety Board held a public meeting to consider rulemaking language involving mining safety and enacted an Open Meetings Notice Resolution.
